Fletcher Canyon Hike

Join me for a fun hike through Fletcher Canyon on Sunday, June 28, 2026! (read everything)

• Terrain: Mostly trail with some climbing over big boulders

We'll meet at 6:00 AM SHARP at Fletcher Canyon Trailhead off of Kyle Canyon Rd / NV-157! Please plan your drive ahead of time, so you know how long it'll take to get to there. https://maps.app.goo.gl/vK4zJqoeL7xmge876

Things to bring: Water (minimum 2L), lunch, jacket, sunblock, bag/backpack, gloves to protect your hands on the rocks.

Fletcher Canyon is a beautiful hike near Mount Charleston! We'll hike up a forested canyon to a spring until we reach 'Obstruction Rock', which marks the end of the canyon for most hikers. Expect piney smells, tall canyon walls, flowers and maybe even a bot of flowing water! While a good portion of this hike is on a trail or path, we will be required to scramble over a few large boulders along our way - nothing too difficult.

*** CAUTIONS FOR DOG OWNERS ***

• You'll need to be able to lift your dog over any obstacles.
• You don't have to keep your dog on leash, but you should have a leash with you. They will need to be on leash as we pass other dogs/hikers on the trail.
• This is a VERY popular trail for hikers.
• There are wild animals around, including snakes, lizards, chipmunks, squirrels and mountain lions (I've never seen one, but they are out here).
• Bring food and water for your pups to enjoy!

There will be a strict maximum of 15 people, total. Please do not bring any unapproved guests. Everyone going should be signed up on this event page, or should have made plans with me privately.
