What to bring: Clothing Layers for warm or cold weather, gloves, beanies, sunhat. You know what you need. Enough water for yourself Snacks Hiking poles Carpool Information: The designated meeting location provides an opportunity for participants to connect and coordinate transportation prior to departure for the trailhead. Carpooling is not organized or facilitated by the hike leader, and I do not participate in ride-sharing arrangements. All transportation decisions are made at each individual’s discretion and responsibility. If you carpool, please consider providing a couple of dollars for gas to the driver.
Safety is the first priority of our hikes. Therefore, all hikers in our group, including another leader who joins us, will stay behind the leader. The sweeper will be last in line.
Group Hiking: Stay with the group behind the leader. If you don’t want to stay with us, you can always go hiking on your own, though it’s not recommended. Don’t run ahead. If you start to get too far behind, shout ahead before you’re out of range for someone to hear you. I always endeavor to keep track of everyone’s progress, but ultimately, it’s your responsibility to communicate what you need.
