Hike Description: The hike features steep switchbacks and high altitude, which will put your endurance to the test. However, the stunning views of surrounding peaks and valleys are sure to make it worth your while. If the views fail to impress you, you can always relish the magical feeling of walking underneath the Bristlecone Pines. The trail is well-marked, and easy to follow. We will start at the Northloop Trailhead and make our way up to Northloop saddle then head up Rain Tree. This will be an out and back hike.

What to Wear:

What to Bring:
•2-3 liters of water in a bladder/electrolytes •Salt tablets •High energy Snacks and/or lunch/sandwich •cellphone •Hiking poles
Safety And Group Hiking: Stay with the group behind the leader. If you don’t want to stay with us, you can always go hiking on your own, though it’s not recommended. Don’t run ahead. If you start to get too far behind, shout ahead before you’re out of range for someone to hear you. I always endeavor to keep track of everyone’s progress, but ultimately it’s your responsibility to communicate what you need.
Weather: The weather in the mountains can change quickly. Its EVERYONE's responsibility to check the weather. Vegas can be hot but an unexpected storm in the mountains can become very cold. ALWAYS bring a rain jacket or poncho. Staying dry will save your life. Do not wear cotton clothing and bringing an extra layer is always a good
Carpooling Information: The designated meeting location provides an opportunity for participants to connect and coordinate transportation prior to departure for the trailhead. Carpooling is not organized or facilitated by the hike leader, and I do not participate in ride-sharing arrangements. All transportation decisions are made at each individual's discretion and responsibility. If you carpool, please consider providing a couple of dollars for gas to the driver.
